The colors of the autumn leaves are beautiful in themselves, but I prefer the green; and the reds, oranges, and yellows will soon be succeeded by bare branches and winter's cold. Perhaps if I were a farmer, I'd be looking forward to my season of rest; but I don't enjoy the prospect of months of cold.
