I confess op...Potsdam sentimentality - translation

I confess openly (how should one confesses insincerely, always these clichés) that I was a little frittered away today, several times, although there were 2 topics, about which I would have to say something in detail.

First there is a blog, to which I take refuge again and again sometimes, if I’m looking for wonderful pictures from Potsdam, afterwards to… (here one may insert a few sentimental words, in which among other things the word „wet pillow“ should emerge, I belong to my self-chosen hometown, couldn’t help myself). Thus if someone likes well photographed things, you have to look here (http://nbwolf.blogspot.com).

And then on September 16th 1753 George Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georg_Wenzeslaus_von_Knobelsdorff), the architect of Frederick II of Prussia died. This was one of the architects, who made the world more beautiful. Sometimes things are simple this way. He transformed among other things the Potsdam City Palace, which is somehow reconstructed now. Frederick the Great wrote this memory speech on Knobelsdorff after his death, which, if it does not state also all over both relationship, expresses his sincere appreciation, as far as kings may be evenly sincere.MartininBrodahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13367467039848677931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5407783074290571587.post-71347696489320102442009-09-18T02:13:53.924+02:002009-09-18T02:13:53.924+02:00Indeed Schlüter is more profound, but Sanssouci is...Indeed Schlüter is more profound, but Sanssouci is like a fairytale arising from earth, I know this place well, nearby is the grave of Friedrich II (and his dogs) and there were some roses from me in the past at this place to wishing him well.MartininBrodahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13367467039848677931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5407783074290571587.post-46930084667751146212009-09-17T16:49:12.563+02:002009-09-17T16:49:12.563+02:00´kay, he did Sancouci, but I like the remainders o...´kay, he did Sancouci, but I like the remainders of Andreas Schlueter much more, since he did not this sugar bakery style.
