and a "struggled translation"
No, this time not the stars shine in the firmament, but on the plate. For those to whom the allusion might appear foreign, a piece of crackling gramophone music.
The hand-pleated mini-stars I wrote about last Sunday - so I found them finally. After I inverted once again the spacious bedroom closets of Mrs. W. until this time literally to the last corner - behind several boxes of "treasures" - colourful ribbons, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (in plastic), remains of candles (which was already an indication) - I came across to a Nivea Creme tin with wooden figures and look! - the stars. They were so much more interesting, that even the food was nearly getting cold
Eventually, it looked like this.
The food was rather trivial, but meanwhile (it's actually Tuesday night now), maybe that's why it was demanded.
A vegetable soup with meat dumplings. In short: onions were sautéed, joined carrots, leeks and celery (later even leftover beans that had been released from their hibernation), a vegetable broth and well the dumplings (half beef and pork). The dumplings consisted, besides said minced meat, from a small amount of flour, a lot of fresh pepper, several eggs and especially of many herbs (Italians + parsley).
One could eat that. But you could also the eagerly awaited stars deliberately put one by one on a plate, in the first place...

So isses.
Sorry for my long absence. I've been spending lots of time writing posts for my blog, now that I feel committed to weekly productions, with occasional supplements on various topics.
The soup sounds and looks delicious, and the stars make the table more festive. I hope you think it was worth the effort to find them. From here, it looks so.
@naturgesetz No, I have to feel sorry & I do so. Will try to read it later today.
And indeed, it was a decent meal.
Oh and this might still working (Wilhelm Furtwängler; Tod und Verklärung, op. 24, Richard Strauss) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwVgNqUdPZA
