Sonntag &

poorly translated

While this country prefers to sink into the shady, we better forget it for a while. And talk about today's Sunday dinner again, which, after all, was more than bearable. Something familiar: salmon with root vegetables (pre-stewed carrots & so on like celery, parsley and onions, with some thyme, rosemary and oregano). I even managed it to prevent the salmon from falling apart, that happens usually sometime after 20 minutes, thus requires some attention. And now I read better something that dates back as long as possible. Aristotle or Marcus Aurelius will be the 1th choice I think.

That looks like an excellent dinner. Did you cook the salmon with the vegetables? And how did you cook it: steam, bake, broil, or …?

I'll leave the comments about the current condition of the FRG to you and Morgenländer. We don't get enough in our press for me to have a well-informed opinion; but if you gentlemen are unhappy, I can certainly believe things are going badly.

Thanks and to answer your question: First you have to stew the vegetables (since they need longer than the salmon) until they are almost done (I used butter). Then I made a bed of the vegetables & put the salmon on top, it needs in the oven 20 - 25 minutes. And it was good indeed.

For the rest I’ll better try an email.
