Dies ist ein Gemälde von Reinhard Graefe. Es ist das zweite, das ich hier vorstelle, beim ersten Mal habe ich eines seiner Werke eher als Illustration zu einem Beitrag über den 8. Mai mißbraucht, was für ihn Anlaß war, mir dieses Bild zuzuschicken mit der Bemerkung: „schicke dir ein bild zum thema schuld, der titel ist ‚die golgatamaschine‘“. Als nähere Angaben kann ich nur nachliefern: 170 x 120 cm, Öl auf Leinwand. Ich wollte ihn eigentlich heute bei einer Ausstellungseröffnung treffen, was aber leider nicht zustandekam. So will ich wenigstens als gewissen moralischen Ausgleich dieses Bild präsentieren, bei dem ich offen gestanden eine Menge Fragen hätte, abgesehen davon, daß ich es als Kunstwerk schätze.

This is a painting by Reinhard Graefe (a local artist). It is the second work I present here; the first time I rather abused one of his works to illustrate some thoughts about the 8th May (not mine), for him a reason to send me this picture with the comment: "sending you a picture about guilt, which is entitled ‘golgata machine’". As further details I can only deliver: 170 x 120 cm, oil on canvas. Actually I wanted to meet him today at an exhibition opening, but unfortunately it doesn’t work. I will at least present as a certain moral satisfaction this picture, which I have about frankly said a lot of questions, apart from that I’m convinced it is a piece of art.
