Ich kann den Sonntag unmöglich mit so einem betrüblichen Thema ausklingen lassen, auch wenn zudem heute „Volkstrauertag“ war, aber ich bin ja kein wandelnder Kalender-Kommentator, auch wenn das manchmal so aussieht. Es war heute so angenehm warm, daß wir sogar auf der Terrasse essen konnten, bei etwa 12°C, aber mit wirklich viel Sonne, sogar die Rosen machen wieder Anstalten aufzublühen.
Es ist tatsächlich merkwürdig, aber ich hatte heute morgen ein Stück von Gluck gebracht, aus „Orpheus und Eurydice“ und Gluck, genauer Christoph Willibald Ritter von Gluck ist am 15. November 1787 gestorben, was mir in dem Moment nicht bewußt war. Darum noch ein zweites Stück dazu, aus dem "Tanz der seligen Geister", ebenfalls aus „Orpheus und Eurydice“.
Und dann ein letzter Nachtrag für heute. Dieser freundliche junge Mann aus Potsdam hat eine wunderbare Bilder-Serie über die Berliner Siegessäule veröffentlicht, bitte dort nachschauen, das obige Bild ist aus dieser Serie.

I can’t round off the day with such a depressing topic, even when today also was "Remembrance Day" or „National Day of Mourning” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkstrauertag), but I'm not just a calendar commentator, even if it sometimes looks like this. Today it was so pleasant warm we could even eat on the terrace, temperature about 12 °C, but with really a lot of sun, even the roses begin to bloom again.
It is strange indeed, but this morning I had brought a piece of Gluck, from "Orpheus and Eurydice", and Gluck, Christoph Willibald Ritter von Gluck to be correct (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christoph_Willibald_Gluck), died on November 15th 1787, I wasn’t aware of it at that moment. Therefore a second piece, the "Dance of the Blessed Spirits" also from "Orpheus and Eurydice".
And then a final addendum today. This fine young gentleman from Potsdam (http://nbwolf.blogspot.com/2009/11/siegessaule-im-detail.html) has published a wonderful series of pictures of the Berlin Victory Column; please look there, the picture above is from this series.
