September 1898 in Genf.

What the hell did they play the germ-anthem at the end? Propz Pilgrim

Oh, I love it to terrorize other people with my knowledge; they didn’t play the German anthem at the end, well not that anthem. It’s the same composition from Haydn, but it's another text, well, since nobody sang in the movie:

“God save Francis the Emperor, our good Emperor Francis!
Long live Francis the Emperor in the brightest splendor of bliss!
May laurel branches bloom for him, wherever he goes, as a wreath of honor?
God save Francis the Emperor, our good Emperor Francis!”

That was the first version. The text changes with each new emperor, but it remained Austria's national anthem until 1918.

Recently here was much to read about Heinrich Heine. Today one of his most glowing admires was stabbed to death by a paltry anarchist, Elizabeth Amalie Eugenie, Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary and Bohemia - beloved and known as Sisi, murdered on September 10th 1898 in Geneva (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elisabeth_of_Bavaria).

One has really granted that she stands for reconciliation with Hungary, this has aroused continuous affection for her person there (the first Hungarian queen since…, honestly said I tried to enter into the questionable period somewhat more deeply, what a tragic confusion). And there is this marvellously feeling-blessed film with Romy Schneider, from whom is the part at the end.

Otherwise I have thought I turn this time once to a lighter subject, I have even read her poems a bit, well, it is sometimes already astonishing, people give their admiration for, but one has to admit, she was of was of considerable beauty.

Oh? My beloved, late Grandma told us, that my paternal Grandpa said about it in deutsch. Propz Pilgrim
