Sonntag &

poorly translated

Strange, sometimes you have the nicest pictures and the dish was terrible, and then... Today was "then". In fact, I'm quite reluctant to deliver the usual report. For various reasons, but they are all rather superficial. It began when my mother told me joyfully when I arrived, all has been done already, she meant the meatloaf (the "wrong hare" in German and in her words, and she would have made it exactly the way it has to be done and she would know nothing about everything else). So I could forget my planned recipe that she knows, 3 minutes later she left the kitchen. Before one is angry with me, I can only say that there are people who have little control about their self-confidence, so they like to put it at the wrong place just to enjoy feeling offended afterwards. And then the camera decided to display only the last few pictures, etc.

But at least the meatloaf but was a success in my opinion. To the "finished" meatloaf which consisted of ground beef with onions and bread crumbs, two eggs, salt and pepper was added to finish it even more thyme and oregano, freshly chopped, and a filling of yellow boletus and mushrooms. The vegetables were braised carrots and Brussels sprouts. Otherwise I can only show what the camera has left from the pictures.

Nachtrag

Ende gut macht alles gut.

And it sounds as if at least it ended well.

But what to do about a mother who sabotages your plans like that? I only took over gradually in the kitchen as my mother did less and less, so I never really faced that problem.

It did, well let’s say she liked to be dominant in her former life and now the memories sometimes get confused, the problem was pacified quickly, from my point of view. Thanks for your continuous commenting.
